Club settings — general, branding, payments, admin

Find each of a club's settings tabs, and set the club's name, purpose and campaign code.

Each club has its own settings. This page shows you where they are, explains the General settings in full, and points you to the page that covers each of the other tabs.

Open a club's settings

  1. Select Clubs in the sidebar and open the club.
  2. Select Settings in the club's sidebar.

The settings have six tabs:

General settings

The General tab opens first. It shows the club's current Name, Purpose and Campaign code.

To change them:

  1. On the General panel, select Edit.
  2. Change the fields you need.
  3. Select Save changes. To leave without saving, select Cancel.

Name

The club's name ("Choose a name for your new Supporter Club"). It can't be left empty. It's the name you see in the Clubs list and at the top of the club's screens.

Purpose

"Briefly describe the purpose of this new Supporter Club". Tell supporters what the club raises money for, in a sentence or two.

The club's set-up step Describe your club's purpose is ticked once Purpose has text in it. A club can't go live until that step is done. See Launching your first club.

Campaign code

"External campaign identifier to be associated with donations for this club. This can also be set for each subscription option. Leave empty to use the organisation default, if configured."

Use it if another system you use (a CRM or finance system, for example) groups donations by a campaign code. Supporter Club records a campaign code only on the donation a supporter makes when they join the club. It is chosen in this order:

  1. the campaign code of the membership option the supporter chose, if it has one;
  2. otherwise, the club's Campaign code, if it has one;
  3. otherwise, your organisation's campaign code, set in your organisation's settings. See Organisation settings.

If none of these is set, the donation has no campaign code.

Other donations get no campaign code: neither the later payments of a recurring donation nor donations you record by hand.

To set a campaign code on a membership option, see Membership options and intervals.
